Classroom Helping is a special part of life at Newtowne and an important reflection of our cooperative values. Throughout the year, meaningful adults in a child’s life — parents, grandparents, caregivers, nannies, family friends, and others — are invited to spend the morning in the classroom alongside them.
These visits give children the joy of sharing their Newtowne experience with people they love, while offering families a window into the rhythms, relationships, and learning that shape each day. Whether reading a story to the class, joining a project or provocation, sharing a skill, or simply moving through the morning alongside a child, classroom helpers become active participants in the life of the classroom community.
